I decided that I'm going to wish a bad case of hangnails or something of equal suffering to all of you who have ranted and raved about 24 over the past few years. I have chosen to not get involved in the weekly water cooler, online and f2f conversations about this show... Until this past Friday night when I was exhausted (thank you long recovery of burnout) and it was blizzarding outside. I stopped by the local VHQ (similar to Blockbuster but better deals!) and rented Season 1 of 24. It's addictive! I have to find out what happens next between 7:00 and 8:oo. But I have learned some stuff that I thought might be helpful for you today!
- You can have a cell phone conversation that is deep and full of words of love and commitment while lying underneath a car.
- Never trust someone with a gun... even if they seem nice.
- Crisis brings out the best and worst in people.
- People will do crazy things for $300,000 as the computer programmer did in season one.
- Make sure that you always say, "I love you" as you don't know what will happen.
- When you are lost in the wilderness, do not try to outsmart the GPS... or stop following the creekbed.
- Don't try to cover up a conspiracy, it always comes back to bite you on the bottom!
- Develop good friendships and keep those people close to you.
- Sometimes people who seem a bit rough around the edges (like Keifer) are better than those that are slick and seem to have it together (like the Serbian meany-pants killers!)
- And the most important, if you are knitting while watching a nail biter show like 24, make sure that you pause the show when you need to focus. Otherwise, you'll make a major mistake and have to rip out the last hour of knitting!
I leave you with a Flower Power Washcloth that was from the 24 watching marathon! Wouldn't that bring a smile to your face as you washed your face with it in the morning?

I LOVE 24 and even got my parents hooked on watching it! We only started watching it Season 2 so I haven't seen Season 1. I think we're going to have to rent it and do a marathon one of these weekends.
Forgot to say that I love your face cloth. You are the Knitting Queen!
PS Thanks for the picture in the mail. Child #1 likes to carry it around the house with her and talk about you.
Ok... that Child #1 just melted my heart:-)
I have never watched much of 24 maybe 1 show. But it sure seems like i would learn many valuble lessons from it!
I have tried, repeatedly to get into the show. Just can't. Everyone else I know (even my parents - go figure) love it, but me, not so much. LOVE the washcloth though!
